🔒 Integrity Can’t Be Hacked: How Virgo Remodeling Overcame a Cyberattack and Stands Stronger Than Ever

At Virgo Remodeling, we’ve always believed that trust and transparency are the foundation of great craftsmanship. Recently, that belief was tested when our company faced an unexpected challenge — a social-media hacking incident and a fake Google review posted by someone who has never been a client.


This experience reminded us why honesty, communication, and community matter more than ever. Today, we’re sharing what happened, what we’ve done to fix it, and how we’re moving forward stronger than before.



🧩 What Happened

In early October, our Instagram account was compromised.All of our original content — including project photos, client highlights, and behind-the-scenes posts — was deleted. For several days, our profile displayed foreign-language text (Chinese) and links unrelated to our business.





Around the same time, a negative Google review appeared from someone we’ve never worked with. The claims didn’t match any record in our client database, contracts, or communications. It was clearly a false and harmful attempt to damage our reputation.






🔐 How We Responded

We took immediate action to secure all platforms and report the incident to Google and Meta.Our accounts are now fully restored and protected with additional verification layers.

To protect our integrity, we also submitted a formal appeal to Google, supported by:

  • Proof that the reviewer is not a verified client

  • Our standard insurance and workmanship guarantee clause (included in all contracts)

  • Screenshots documenting the Instagram hack and account defacement

These steps demonstrate our continued commitment to honest, verifiable business practices.
